And that's exactly what they do, all day.. every day. From early mornings to late nights. As a matter of fact, Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer worked 130 hours a week at Google and sometimes slept under her desk.
When you're busy working, you have no time to get bored.
Working is one of the biggest drains on time that there is, next to sleeping and eating. If you find a good job or want to start your own business , this is one of the best ways to kill some time!
However, living at/in your work isn't healthy.. so what else do successful people do to keep boredom at bay?
If you want to stay busy AND successful, you have to be willing to learn. And that's exactly what the most successful people do! They are constantly interested and involved in learning new things.
In their minds, nothing is more important than proper education. However, school is not the last stop. They believe you should keep learning until you can't learn anymore.
How do they do it?
They take courses, read 'how-to' books, watch YouTube videos, read articles... basically every and anyway there is to learn. The worldwide web is FULL of great websites ready for you to advance your knowledge .
All this learning takes up a lot of time!
Remember when you were in school? Well if you focused and did all your homework I guarantee, you never got bored. It's a huge time killer and doubles as a great way to keep your brain happy, and your mind busy.
However, enough about the brain, let's take a look at what you can do with your body..
Maybe not all successful people do this, but a good portion does.
Exercising not only keeps you looking fantastic, but it also keeps you healthy.
Living an active lifestyle will have an array of health benefits, and also kills a lot of time that you would otherwise be bored.
Best done in the morning, exercise will reduce stress, let you sleep better and make you feel focused.
A family is important and should never be neglected.
Spending quality time with your loved ones is priceless and also a great way to stay busy.
Successful people know this, that's why they try to spend as much time as possible with their families.
Although some might argue that their family sucks because their uncle drinks too much and their cousin talks too much, Family is family and when the shit hits the fan, they'll be there for you.
Like I mentioned before in the learning section, successful people read. They read a lot. And guess what this does?
Kills time. And it's enjoyable!
However, they don't just read' how-to books'.
They read all kinds of books ranging from fantasy to romance, to historical novels and even the bible.
On top of those, they read articles from Forbes to Business-insider to the Entrepreneur and Glamour. They're constantly keeping up with what other successful people are doing.
Reading not only helps you relax, but it develops your brain, improves your writing and develops your imagination.
Another little-known fact is that reading reduces stress .
Traveling is one of the most beautiful and entertaining things you can do with that extra time you have.
The thrill and experience you gain from exploring the world are unmatched.
Do you think you'll get bored exploring the gardens of Maraco or the jungles of Bora Bora?
I think not and neither do successful people.
Although, traveling can get expensive you can always budget. Stop spending money on the latest iPhone and put the money aside for the adventure of a lifetime.
I guarantee you won't regret it and no one will care about your flip phone when you've snowboarded the mountains of Finland.
Painting, sculpting, building, designing and the list goes on. Successful people see the value in creating things.
Some write books, others build cars. It's all up to personal preference.
Besides keeping you from boredom creating things does two things.
One, it relaxes you.
Two, it gives you a feeling of satisfaction when you're done.
These are both keys to being a successful person when you're bored.

Socializing keeps you far away from boredom by giving you the opportunity to talk with the right people.
It also presents you with new opportunities and keeps you from getting depression. No one likes being a loner, right?

Therefore, creating a network of people goes a long way especially when you need help.

For example, I work around 60 hours a week, however, I also run a website on the side for extra income (I also find it fun).
There are many things one can do as a side hustle, for example, Warren Buffet would manage a group of kids running paper routes while studying finance in University. He even ran a pinball business while in high school (both made him great money).
Yes, granted he wasn't working, but have you ever studied finance at University?
Well, I'll tell this, the workload washes over you like a tsunami. You're lucky if you have a second to breathe.

Let's not be selfish here. Just because you're successful, doesn't mean you can't help others.
Giving your time to help others gives you the greatest satisfaction of all.
I've volunteered before and the greatest feeling of all is having people thank you for your time and help.
The joy you can bring to someone's life by just giving up a few hours of your time is truly unmatched.

I guarantee you'll love it and most of all, you won't be bored. Not even for a second.

Bold statement I know, but just think about it.
How do people get bored? They sit and do nothing.
Now, wouldn't you agree that if you want to, there's always something to do?
Now, I don't mean to be a hypocrite, but I am lazy too.
However, I haven't been bored since high school (sorry Mrs.Brooks but English was F'in boring). The reason behind the lack of boredom is by always doing one of the things I've mentioned above.
